Canon Japan presented its new IXY 20IS digital camera with effective 8 Mega-pixel of picture strength. The stylish camera incorporates company’s reliable technology for unbelievable results. Canon’s proprietary DIGIC III image processor ensures better control, smother operation with minimum response times. Its powerful 1/2.5 CCD image sensor works with superior aspheric lens which offers 3x optical magnification and 4x of digital zoom.



The IXY 20IS uses advanced Motion catch technology to reduce distortion caused by camera movement or handshake. The camera records beautiful still images at 3064x2448 pixel in JPEG and magnificent motion clips at 640x480 pixels for a maximum of 2 hours. Other features include face detection, 9 point AF,2.5-inch LCD, High photosensitivity up to ISO1600, fast shutter speed, SD /SDHC/MMC/MMC plus /HC MMC plus support, PictBridge and much more.



The Canon IXY 20IS Digital Camera will be available for sale in March 2008.
